This time I will review The Samurai Swordsman, Master of War by Stephen Turnbull. This book covers the topic of the evolution of the Samurai and the sword as a symbol for the Samurai class from the inception of the Japanese state with the Emperor Jimmu all the way to the Meiji Restoration.
